dc.description.abstract The Commission inspected Daystar University in November 2005 in fulfillment of its mandate outlined in the Universities Rules 1989 Section l 9B of the rules authorize the Commission to inspect Accredited Universities at such intervals as the Commission may determine. The University was requested to carry out a self-evaluation guided specific questions sent by the Commission. The self-evaluation report was sent to the Commission and subjected to critical analysis. This was followed by onsite inspection by resource persons sent by the Commission to inspect the physical facilities and library resources and services. Finally the inspection committee inspected the institution on 2nd and 3rd November 2005. In addition to inspecting the facilities, the Committee held meetings with the following groups: • Daystar University Management Board • Daystar University Senate • Daystar University Council • Daystar teaching staff • Daystar Students • Daystar alumni The Commission is satisfied that during the first eleven years of its existence as a University Daystar has laid the foundation for a visionary and vibrant university that will play a significant role in the development of this country. en_US
