dc.description This accreditation report is in two (2) volumes: a) Volume 1 contains the Charter, Historical background, philosophical and the accreditation process that let to award of Charter; and b) Volume 2 contains the programmes offered by the University. en_US
dc.description.abstract Chuka University will be the successor of Chuka University College, which in turn was the successor of Egerton University Eastern Campus College, Chuka which was founded in 2004 by the Egerton University. Following inspection by the Commission for Higher Education, Eastern Campus College was upgraded to a Constituent College of Egerton University through a Legal Notice No. 161 on 23'd August, 2007. After the elevation, the name changed to Chuka University College. On 10th December, 2007, His Excellency President Mwai Kibaki visited and officially inaugurated the University College. Having inspected Chuka University College, examined its governance structures, and inspected its academic resources, the Commission recommended that the University College be upgraded to full university status. The University was advised to quickly address the recommendations given in this report. en_US
